  Common faults and repairs

  "LINKORHWC" and "PPCCLINK" faults: These two faults are usually related to optical fiber damage. When a fault occurs, you should first check whether the optical fiber connection is good. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.

  Switching power supply damage: The switching power supply damage mainly occurs on the switch tube. The short circuit of the switch tube will cause the power resistor used for current limiting to burn out. At this time, the damaged switch tube should be replaced and the power resistor should be checked to see if it is intact.

  CPU board and I/O board damage: Damage to these components may cause faults such as "PPCCLINK". If you encounter such a fault, you should check whether the CPU board and I/O board are intact. If they are damaged, replace them with new components.


  Daily inspection and maintenance

  Ambient temperature and humidity: Before the inverter is powered on, the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment should be detected. Excessive temperature will cause the inverter to overheat and alarm. In severe cases, it will directly cause damage to the inverter power device and circuit short circuit; excessively humid air will cause a direct short circuit inside the inverter.

  Cooling system: When the inverter is running, pay attention to whether its cooling system is working properly to ensure that the inverter can dissipate heat normally.

  Cleaning and inspection: Clean the cooling duct and internal dust of the air filter of the ABB inverter ACS600 series regularly, and check whether the screws, bolts and plug-ins are loose. At the same time, check whether the ground and phase-to-phase resistance of the input and output reactors are short-circuited, which should be greater than tens of megohms normally.

  Voltage and waveform measurement: When conditions permit, an oscilloscope should be used to measure the stability of the voltage of each circuit output by the ABB inverter ACS600 series switching power supply, such as 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and other voltages. In addition, the distortion of the waveform of each circuit of the driver circuit should be measured, and whether the UVW phase-to-phase waveform is a sine wave.

  Regular maintenance: Clean the cooling duct and internal dust of the air filter of the inverter regularly, check whether the screws, bolts and plug-ins are loose, and whether the ground and phase-to-phase resistance of the input and output reactors are short-circuited. When conditions permit, an oscilloscope should also be used to measure the stability of the voltage of each circuit output by the inverter switching power supply, and whether the method of measuring the waveform of each circuit of the driver circuit is distorted.
