HESG324436R3/A HESG324428 Variable Speed AC Driver is a device that converts AC power into a controllable AC power suitable for use with AC motors. It drives the operation of the AC motor and achieves precise control of the motor by transforming the power supply and adjusting the output signal.


The working principle of HESG324436R3/A HESG324428 variable speed AC driver:

Input power processing:

Rectification: 

The HESG324436R3/A HESG324428 driver first converts the input power frequency AC power (such as 380VAC) into DC power through a three-phase bridge rectifier circuit. The rectifier circuit consists of six diodes. When a certain phase voltage is positive, the corresponding diode conducts and passes through a filtering capacitor to obtain the rectified DC power.

Filtering: 

The rectified direct current is smoothed through a filtering circuit to reduce current harmonic distortion and store energy. A filtering circuit typically includes a DC link and one or more capacitors.

Inversion: 

DC power is then converted into variable frequency AC power through a three-phase inverter. The inverter consists of 9 thyristors and corresponding valve controlled diodes. According to the control of electronic switches, different thyristors are sequentially turned on and off to control the frequency and amplitude of the output AC power.

Variable frequency: 

By adjusting the control signal of the inverter, the frequency of the output AC power can be changed, thereby achieving control of the speed of the AC motor. The range of output frequency is usually between 2-400Hz.


Control circuit:

Signal conversion: 

The control circuit converts external input signals (such as switch signals, analog signals, and digital signals) into control signals through electronic components on the circuit board.

Control chip: 

The control chip is the core part of the control circuit, which generates control signals by processing input signals to drive AC motors. Common control methods include v/hz control, frequency conversion control, etc.

Protection circuit: 

The protection circuit can monitor the working status of the driver and take protective measures in the event of overcurrent, overvoltage, and phase loss faults to ensure the safe operation of the driver.


Motor control:

Speed control: 

By adjusting the frequency of the output AC power, the speed of the AC motor can be controlled. According to the synchronous speed formula of the electric motor (RPM=60 * f/p, where RPM is the motor speed, f is the power frequency, and p is the number of magnetic pole pairs in the motor), changing the frequency can change the speed.

Torque control: 

The torque of an electric motor is related to the ratio of voltage and frequency. In order to maintain the same torque, the voltage must also be adjusted proportionally when the frequency changes. Therefore, during the speed change process, it is necessary to maintain a fixed ratio of voltage to frequency.

Auxiliary components:

Temperature sensors, relays, fuses and other auxiliary components are used to achieve temperature monitoring, electrical isolation, thermal protection and other functions, ensuring the stable operation of the driver.
